Account Executive
The final stage interview process was quite a surprise. Just a day before, I was informed about a salary significantly lower than the market average. Despite this, I proceeded. The situation escalated when a CMO joined for a roleplay without any prior notification. This forced me to quickly pivot the product focus, even though I had no preparation or prior experience pitching such a solution to a CMO. Consequently, the feedback focused on my perceived failure to 'align the product' with their needs. While the people were pleasant, the interview setup was neither realistic nor conducive to genuine learning.

Account Executive
The interview process was pretty standard. First, I met with the hiring manager, then the RVP, and finally, there was a panel interview. The questions were all typical for a sales role, so just make sure you're ready to talk about various situations you've encountered in your sales career.
- Can you provide details about your early career experiences?
- What are some memorable scenarios from your sales career that you can share?
Account Executive
The interview process began with a recruiter call, but the recruiter didn't seem very knowledgeable about the Account Executive role. Next, I had a call with a Team Lead. He was late and almost forgot our meeting, and there was no real preparation or clear communication beforehand. He kept asking about my closing experience, even though I'd only worked as an SDR, which they knew. He wanted specific examples but asked very general questions. I didn't advance because the team lead felt I wasn't ready for the AE role, though other aspects were positive. The recruiter was hesitant to give feedback on the hiring process when I compared it to other SaaS companies. OneTrust really needs a clearer interview process.
- Can you share an instance where you contributed to closing a deal, even as an SDR?
