I talked to a recruiter first, then the hiring manager. I showed them my work samples that were relevant to what they needed. It seemed to go fine. I waited about a week and didn't hear back, so I messaged the recruiter for an update. No reply, no rejection, nothing. It would be nice to at least get an automated rejection.

The interview process had 4 parts. It started with a screener call by an external recruiter. Next, there was a portfolio review with the UX Director. Then, a whiteboard collaboration session with three team members. Lastly, a cultural fit interview with two managers.

Behavioral Technical

The interviewer was running late and showed up 30 minutes after the scheduled time, which I found out was because they forgot about our meeting. To make matters worse, my car got booted while I was waiting in their parking lot. What's really frustrating about companies like this is their lack of communication; they never called me back about rescheduling or anything. I used to really respect this company, but after being unable to get in touch with anyone to figure out what happened with the interview, I've lost that respect.
