The interview process started with a 30-minute recruiter call, which was a standard phone screen. I was told to be mindful of my voice cadence because the recruiter uses basic psychological cues to assess honesty, which I found to be an unethical interviewing approach. The second interview went well, and I passed some information to the TM. The TM texted me to schedule a meeting, but after I replied, I never heard back. I eventually received an automated rejection from NuVasive. While I'm not upset about not getting the offer, I am disappointed by the unethical lack of feedback and response from the team. Candidates invest time in interviewing and preparing, so a simple, genuine response back is the least expected. It's fortunate Globus acquired them; hopefully, their more ethical employees will improve NuVasive's culture.

It was a terrible and drawn-out process due to incompetent HR. I had to constantly chase them for scheduling and next steps. After two months and the in-person interview, HR essentially told me I wasn't a good fit, and my salary expectations were too high, suggesting a PM role elsewhere. I felt strung along for two months with false promises. The actual process involved an HR phone screen, a hiring manager phone screen, a digital design challenge (which took about 10 hours), and finally an in-person interview with my potential teammates before a decision was made.

The interview was super calm, they asked questions like "What is your hobbies outside of work?" "How often do you think its okay to call off?" They do ask strategic questions as well so be prepared for them as in "What did you do in a situation where you do not agree with your supervisor?" Or something along those lines, not exact question but, close. I like that there was only really two interviews, one on the phone to verify that you have the experience and knowledge that your resume says. I do suggest applying on indeed.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I got referred to NuVasive by a friend. The initial chat with the recruiter went smoothly, and I was set up for a preliminary interview with one of the directors. After that, though, I didn't hear back from the recruiter for a while, and I figured they'd moved on. Then, on a Friday morning, the director called, expecting me to know about the interview, which I didn't. Despite the mix-up, the interview went well, and I was scheduled for two more rounds with three people each. The first round focused on testing situational awareness, and the second was more behavioral. These two rounds took about 2-3 hours total. After that, I had four more interview rounds, with two 45-minute one-on-one sessions on consecutive days. All the interviewers were great to talk to, and I enjoyed the conversations and the overall experience. One thing to note, though, is that the recruiter's responsiveness was pretty low throughout the whole process, which caused some unnecessary stress. This might have been an isolated incident, but it's something to be aware of.
