This was a super thorough and great interview process, honestly one of the best I've gone through. I got to chat with people from all the relevant departments, which gave me a much better feel for the whole company, not just the specific team I was interviewing for.

I put in my application online, and then a recruiter from the company got in touch to set up a preliminary phone chat. After that, the recruiter arranged a 30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager. This was followed by a series of Zoom interviews: four with other managers in the Accounting team and one more with the hiring manager. To wrap things up, I had a final 30-minute Zoom call with the controller. The recruiter was really helpful throughout the whole thing, keeping me informed about what to expect next and being totally open about the process. They even offered advice on how to get ready for the Zoom interviews. The whole experience, which lasted about a month, was surprisingly great.

HR contacted me, and I had a phone interview with HR. Then, a second phone interview with the hiring manager, which had to be rescheduled because they forgot about it and I ran out of time. After that, I went in for a 3-hour in-person interview with two accounting managers and the assistant controller. The final interview was with the controller, but they called an hour before to reschedule for the next day because the controller was sick. I was annoyed because I'd already taken two days off work and asked HR if they could be flexible with the scheduling, given I didn't want my manager to know how many days I'd requested off. Nuvasive then told me they were moving on with another candidate. This whole process took a month and they never apologized for missing the first interview or canceling the second one last minute.
