The team reached out to schedule the first and final interviews. The questions were pretty straightforward. However, after that, there was complete silence for six weeks, which felt unprofessional, especially since I had met most of the team and was told offers would go out in mid-March. My suggestion would be to maybe interview fewer people to avoid making the hiring process too overwhelming.

Technical Coding Behavioral Presentation

The interview process had 3 stages: first, a resume filter, then a technical interview, and finally a behavioral round interview with a professor and research teammates. They asked various questions, primarily about data science and algorithms, but also about tableau and visualizations. I was also asked to present my previous work, job roles, and projects from prior semesters.

Behavioral Other

I had one remote interview that felt a bit rushed. It was pretty straightforward with expected questions, and the interviewers were nice. The issue was that I was ghosted afterward. While I understand if I wasn't the right fit, not responding to thank you emails is unprofessional. Candidates should at least get a response from the interviewer about their application status.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process had two rounds. The first round was behavioral, focusing on past experiences and how you respond to situations. They wanted to know about your leadership, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills, and asked for specific examples of problem-solving, adaptability, and communication. The second round was a technical evaluation specific to the role, checking your understanding of the industry, technical skills, and how you'd apply them.

  • Can you share an instance of a past failure and what you learned from it?
