I had a 30-minute Zoom call with the lab manager where we talked about my background, when I could work, and why I wanted to be on their project. After that, I did a quick code review where I had to say what I assumed, find a bug, and show the results with charts. Every PI's interview process can be different.

Technical Coding Behavioral Presentation

The interview process had 3 stages: first, a resume filter, then a technical interview, and finally a behavioral round interview with a professor and research teammates. They asked various questions, primarily about data science and algorithms, but also about tableau and visualizations. I was also asked to present my previous work, job roles, and projects from prior semesters.
