First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NIIT Limited.
Content Developer
It was a telephonic interview round where the hr asked some basic questions about myself, background and since the company has a 2 year bond to be signed they asked whether I'm ready to sign that bond. Over all it was a easy round.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your previous roles in content development?
- Are you willing to sign the 2-year bond?
Software Engineer
First, you apply online or through campus and they screen your resume. Then there's an aptitude test with reasoning, math, and some basic coding. After that, you'll have technical interviews where you'll solve coding problems and answer questions about DSA, OOP, DBMS, and OS, and discuss your projects. Finally, there's an HR interview to talk about you, your strengths, if you're okay with relocating, salary expectations, and career plans. They usually let you know the results within a couple of weeks. So basically: Test → Technical → HR → Offer.
- Can you write code to identify the unique element in a sorted array?
- How would you print the left view of a binary tree?
- Could you explain the concepts of OOP with examples?
Graphic Designer
First, they look at your portfolio. Then they ask about your experience. They also ask about the design software you use, like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. They want to know if you're good with at least two or three of them. They also ask if you learned your skills at a company and who you've worked with before.
- Can you discuss your portfolio?
- Could you share your experience?
- Tell me about your experience with your portfolio.
Analyst
The process started with an interview, followed by a test. Then, there was another interview and a logic and reasoning test. After everything, HR confirmed I passed. They agreed to the CTC but with a significant variable component. When I tried to negotiate the variable part, they weren't open to it. HR kept giving different excuses each time I followed up. They didn't give me any chance to negotiate salary reasonably. It makes you wonder why they make you do long tests if they didn't intend to hire.
- Can you walk me through your career history and your past work experiences?
- Please describe your current responsibilities and role.
- Could you provide details on the company's organizational structure?
