Software Engineer
First, you apply online or through campus and they screen your resume. Then there's an aptitude test with reasoning, math, and some basic coding. After that, you'll have technical interviews where you'll solve coding problems and answer questions about DSA, OOP, DBMS, and OS, and discuss your projects. Finally, there's an HR interview to talk about you, your strengths, if you're okay with relocating, salary expectations, and career plans. They usually let you know the results within a couple of weeks. So basically: Test → Technical → HR → Offer.
- Can you write code to identify the unique element in a sorted array?
- How would you print the left view of a binary tree?
- Could you explain the concepts of OOP with examples?
Software Engineer
I had to give a presentation on a Software Engineering topic. After that, the panel, who were industry professionals, asked me a bunch of questions. It was challenging but interesting for me.
- I did a presentation and was questioned afterwards.
Software Engineer
They started with a written test with JAVA technical questions. After about 20 minutes, they told me the result and to wait for the technical interview. I waited for about 3 hours for the interview. The technical interview was one-on-one with a smart and technical interviewer. He didn't ask direct questions but instead asked scenario-based questions and discussed approaches. He asked about my current project, OOPs concepts, Collection Framework, code for serialization and externalization, and some JSP questions. He also asked me to draw the architecture of Struts 2.0, as it was on my resume. Everything he asked was based on my resume. The interviewer was good and smart. It was around 7 PM, and the HR had left, so he told me to wait for an HR call. After some follow-up emails, they responded and were ready to offer me a letter. The HR was bad and uninterested in talking to the interviewee after the technical round.
- Nothing unexpected was asked.
