The interview process was pretty straightforward, but the hiring manager seemed to take issue when I mentioned I was still exploring other opportunities and had future interviews scheduled. I personally think it's pretty standard to be upfront about that, especially when they inquire about how quickly you'd like a decision. However, when my third-party recruiter followed up, they said it came across as condescending or perhaps overly confident. It was a bit strange, honestly. This was the first and only time I've ever gotten negative feedback for saying something like that.

So first, there was a recruiter screen, then I had a Teams video chat with the Senior Collections Analyst who's the hiring manager. After that, I went onsite for a panel interview with the Global AR Manager, another Senior Collections Analyst, and a Senior Risk Analyst. The panel was pretty chill and conversational, they wanted to know about how I collaborate, solve problems, communicate, and learn, not so much super technical stuff. They were really open about the job and what they expected.

This was an on-campus recruitment drive. They mainly asked questions about my resume and the specifics of my projects, which I felt confident answering. In terms of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), they inquired about sorting techniques and asked me to implement a sorting algorithm of my preference. When I asked for feedback, they mentioned they would provide it to the placement department, to which I simply agreed.

Interview was good and I managed to give all answers because my current profile was very matching with the position. I was informed that my CV is shortlisted but they are interviewing more profiles. After 14 days I sent a reminder for checking the status of my candidature but have not received any feedback. Feedback is really required for improvement because any person who comes for an interview comes with hope. Hope to gain more knowledge and hope to support their family. People invest their time and money to reach the interview venue so even if the company is not proceeding ahead with the candidate for the role, at least a proper feedback can be given with hints where the candidate needs to work more. This will also add good word of mouth for the organization. Trust me it is a free of cost investment of a few minutes for establishing a positive brand image.
