First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Molex.
Sales Engineer
I found the job on a portal and applied. The process had 5 rounds. The first was a computer-based aptitude test at a partner consultancy, with sections on Aptitude, Mechanical, and Electronics, mostly easy. The second round was in the local office (Delhi for me), mainly an HR round with resume-based and ethics questions. The third was a challenging telephonic interview, about an hour long, with selling-based questions and simulations. Then I was called for the final rounds in Bangalore, with paid travel. There were two final rounds: one HR round with basic HR, company info, and situational questions; the second was with the program manager and Global HR, covering behavioral and situational questions, and some resume points. Overall, a great experience with hospitable people and culture, though I was rejected in the last round.
- How would you approach explaining and convincing a client about our products?
Sales Engineer
The company was hesitant to cover travel expenses for the meeting, which felt a bit stingy considering I was taking a day off and losing a day's pay. Despite that, the atmosphere was friendly, and they made an effort to make me feel at ease. The interview process involved three rounds: one phone call and two in-person meetings.
- What's your motivation for applying to this role?
- Can you tell me what you know about our products?
- What are your career aspirations and where do you see yourself in the long term?
Sales Engineer
The interview process was direct and they responded quickly even though I am overseas. First, the recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn and we set up a phone interview to discuss the company and my background. If you pass this, you then meet with regional managers in person. I met with 5 different managers and we had a long discussion about the role, the company, and my potential contributions.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
