We had a casual phone chat where I asked about your general past experience with teams. We also talked about how automated the facility is. Then I asked the usual closing questions like if you could be there and if you have reliable transportation.

The hiring process was pretty long, taking about three months from start to finish. I went through three phone interviews and then one in-person interview. After the interviews, I had to reach out a few times to get updates on my application. It felt like a pretty standard corporate hiring process, just a bit longer than what's typical.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process had 7 rounds, spanning a few weeks. Everyone I met was professional and nice, but it got pretty samey, especially since I met with the hiring manager twice and got asked the same behavioral questions over and over. After more than five hours of interviews, I just got a standard rejection email with no feedback. For a position that wasn't entry-level, the lack of communication and closure was a letdown and not what I'd expect from a company like Medline. When a candidate puts in 7 rounds of interviews, getting just a generic rejection feels rude and unprofessional. The time and effort I put in deserved at least a quick, thoughtful response or some basic feedback. That kind of courtesy is a big part of HR's job and would have made the company look much better.

So the interview process kicked off with an HR phone screening, mainly for logistics and to hear my motivation. After that, there was a one-on-one with someone from the target team, likely the team lead or a senior member. The final stage involved two separate one-on-one interviews: first with the head of another analytics team, and right after, with the director of operations. The whole thing wrapped up in about two and a half weeks.
