Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Medline Industries.
Supply Planner
So, to begin, there was a basic aptitude test. Following that, I had some virtual chats with the management team where we talked about my qualifications. It wasn't a tough interview overall, the team was really nice and easy to talk to. They got back to me pretty quickly after the interviews to let me know what was next. I think there might have been an initial phone call or screening before those virtual meetings.
- Can you share an example of a time at work where you had to be quick-thinking and adjust rapidly to new situations?
Supply Chain Analyst
The interview process went smoothly, and I even completed the final round. When I followed up with HR, they said I was still being considered and that I should get feedback within a week. After 10 days, I followed up again but was ignored. I think it's basic courtesy to let candidates know the result, especially after they've cleared so many rounds to reach the final one. I feel this lack of basic etiquette says a lot about the company's culture.
- Can you share an instance from your past work where you proactively improved a process?
Purchasing Agent
The interview went great! The recruiter was really nice, patient, and knew a lot about the company. I felt like I gave clear and concise answers. Unfortunately, I didn't move forward because I had to take an assessment that I didn't pass. Honestly, I think companies should get rid of tests, especially ones that aren't related to the actual job. I don't think they really show if you can do the job, that's what training is for.
- Tell me about a time you faced a problem with a vendor or a coworker and how you resolved it.
