Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Medline Industries.
Engineer
The whole interview process was pretty smooth and swift. The recruiter I chatted with was super helpful and kept me in the loop about everything. They were really on top of scheduling the interviews and giving me updates. I actually got interviewed and received an offer within a week.
- Tell me about a time you had to overcome a challenge.
Engineer
The interview process was pretty smooth and straightforward. The only hiccup was with the company recruiter who, after reaching out to me first, took over a month to set up a time to talk. After a phone screening with the recruiter, the interview with the hiring manager was straightforward. It's been almost three weeks, and I still haven't heard back either way. This actually reminds me of a similar situation a few years ago when I applied for an internship through them. It's been an unpleasant experience, and I'll be looking at other companies.
- Tell me about your interest in our company.
- Can you describe your current role?
- Can you describe your previous roles?
Maintenance Engineer
A phone call was made to set up the interview. I met with three people: the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Manager, and an administrator assistant. The interview went for 1 hour and 10 minutes (1-10 min). I thought that was impressive. I also got to ask my questions about how many mechanics work on each shift, the main products made at the facility, the type of production lines they have, how operators and mechanics are trained on the equipment, and their shift schedules.
- Tell me about your experience creating job plans.
- Have you built preventative maintenance plans before?
- Have you supervised teams?
