HR scheduled 2 rounds in one week, which was quite fast. The first round was general, covering my past work and scenario-based questions about QA, automation, and performance, mostly technical but without coding. The second round was managerial, going deep from an architectural viewpoint, asking about designing frameworks and tool recommendations for security and performance for a new team. They also asked about dynamic and static testing tools, Microservices vs monolith architecture, and automation challenges. Both interviews were 1 hour each. The 3rd round was scheduled for the next week with a senior manager who asked similar, more in-depth questions from previous rounds, focusing on culture fit. The 4th round was HR negotiation, with typical questions about salary expectations and reasons for changing jobs.

I ended up speaking with 6 different people over 3 days for this job. Each interview was pretty much just behavioral questions asking about my past experiences, plus I got to ask them questions. I thought this was a bit weird for an engineering role. I was a bit annoyed that it took so much of my time, 'cause I feel like companies should be able to tell if someone's a behavioral fit in just one or two interviews. To be fair to Medline though, I asked them to give me their final decision before I got an offer or rejection because I had another offer I had to respond to.

The interview had a good structure, with two tech rounds then a chat with HR. The first tech round was all about core Java. I had to do coding problems that checked how I think, solve stuff, and if I knew Java basics. The second tech round was more about using API testing and Selenium in real life. They asked questions based on situations to see if I actually knew how to use test automation tools and frameworks, and if I understood HTTP stuff like methods, codes, and how to work with API requests and responses. The last part was an HR chat about my past, what I do now, why I'm looking to switch, and what I want from a new job. All in all, it went smoothly, was organized, and felt professional. The interviewers were nice and made it easy, giving me time to think. Scheduling and talking with the recruitment team was quick and easy, which was great.
