The recruiter was really transparent and did a great job. The hiring manager, however, was terrible. We were supposed to start the virtual interview right on time, with me dressed in business professional attire. I got an email and then a call from the recruiter saying the hiring manager was running late because she was with a customer. That's fine, things happen. We rescheduled for 30 minutes later. When she finally joined, you could tell it was an inconvenience for her. She gave me a general background and then asked me to tell her about myself. Then she asked why I would want to leave my current job, given that I'm doing so well. She didn't do any selling for her company at all. After that, I was asked how I handle pricing objections. I gave my answer. She then said, 'Okay, your resume speaks for itself, and I have no other questions. We will follow up.' All throughout this, she was sitting in her car drinking a protein shake.

Het proces begon met open communicatie. Eerst was er een gesprek met de salesmanager, daarna met de directeur Benelux en HR. Er was ruimte voor onderhandeling en persoonlijke wensen, die ook gerespecteerd werden tijdens mijn dienstverband.

I had a recruiter screening where we talked about the territory and salary. The salary initially seemed low, but the recruiter mentioned a promotion after one year and discussed that pay and bonus. Then, I had a Zoom meeting with the hiring manager. It was a very pleasant and straightforward interview with hardly any questions. Salary came up again, and I was informed the recruiter had given me incorrect information. There's no guaranteed promotion. I suspect this role is for a recent grad, not an experienced rep with existing contacts. It wasn't a good fit for me.
