Luxoft Interview Questions
& Process

It starts with an introduction, then we discussed my past experience and projects. The main part was a live coding session where I had to build an app from scratch, using screen sharing. During the coding, I was asked about my reasoning behind certain choices ('why/why not') and how I would approach different aspects. The evaluation focused on my architectural knowledge and the technical details I implemented during that live coding exercise alone.

I went through three interview rounds for a UX/UI Designer role. The first round was a phone call and felt friendly and easy. The recruiter was pleasant and the conversation was smooth. The second round turned out to be a case study interview, which I was not expecting. I had asked in advance about the interview format, but it was not communicated that this would be a case study. Despite the surprise, I presented on the spot and moved forward. This round was challenging. The interviewer was very direct and strict, but also gave practical and honest feedback about what the company looks for and the type of designer they need, which I appreciated. The third round was with a senior leader, possibly a Vice President. This was more of a Q&A conversation and went deeper into expectations, team needs, and how they evaluate designers. After completing all three rounds, I sent a thank-you email. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up or closure. Nearly two months later, I noticed the company reposted the same role. While the interviews themselves were professionally run, the lack of communication after multiple rounds was disappointing. A process that takes candidates through three interviews without any feedback or decision suggests slow decision-making and poor candidate communication.

I went through 2 virtual technical rounds where they focused on Java and managerial stuff. The final round was supposed to be a face-to-face client interview in Gurugram, but since Luxoft (DXC) doesn't have an office there, they insisted on a virtual round. I asked if it could be virtual, but they weren't flexible. I booked tatkal train tickets, only to find out a day before that the client round was actually two rounds and would be in Noida's DXC office instead of Gurugram. I agreed to travel to Noida since I was already traveling from my hometown. The most frustrating part was that after traveling all the way to Noida, the client round was conducted virtually anyway. This means I traveled for a virtual interview that I could have done from home, just like the other two rounds. They didn't seem to care about my effort or the money I spent. It felt like a complete waste. I didn't get selected either. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT.

So I applied online and the first thing was a recruiter call where they told me about the company and benefits. After that, the technical interview was scheduled about 5 days later, and everything was online. The technical interview was with someone from India, and his English wasn't perfect. He asked usual questions about Java, Spring, design patterns, data structures, and security. There was also a bit of live coding with a simple task. I got feedback a few days later saying I got good grades, except for my English, which he rated B1. But then management decided to move forward with other candidates.
