Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Luxoft.
Data Engineer
The whole process was pretty fast. It had 3 rounds total, with a mix of technical and behavioral questions. The process was structured. It covered Azure, Databricks, Python, and CICD concepts. It included a technical round, a hiring manager interview, and then a client interview.
- Discuss data engineering scenarios.
- Explain your experience with Azure.
- What are your thoughts on CICD concepts?
Data Engineer
I was contacted on LinkedIn and they asked for my resume. After sending it, I was invited to interview. There wasn't an HR interview, only a technical interview. During the interview, they asked basic data engineering questions related to Python.
- Can you describe your experience with data orchestration tools?
Senior Data Engineer
The process is fast, and interviews are scheduled quickly. However, the second round with the delivery manager is mostly about salary. They will reject you if your current salary is higher than their expectations. It feels like a waste of time because technical people are judging based on salary. HR knows the salary expectations, but it's unclear why technical people still ask about salary.
- The first round is technical. The second round involves the manager asking about your current salary, previous salary, and first salary. They will also ask how you expect a certain percentage hike.
