Analyst
Project Manager Biodiversity and Natural Ingredients
I had an initial call with HR. They mentioned the interviews would be delayed by two months due to summer holidays. In that first call, they confirmed practical details like the job location and asked about my salary expectations. I provided a broad range because HR was vague about any additional benefits beyond the base salary. HR seemed to get impatient with my wide salary range, and I never learned about the specific benefits offered. Two months later, HR emailed me, asking me to call them back. I did so the same day, and HR informed me that the hiring manager had not selected me. I inquired about the reason, but HR couldn't give me any clear or specific explanation, likely because they were unfamiliar with the role and my CV.
- What is your desired salary?
Beauty Advisor
To get started, they had me complete some assessments. There was a test with numbers, spelling, and grammar, plus complex reasoning. They also made me take a personality test. Honestly, some of the questions felt a bit weird for what the job is.
- Are you someone who easily gets angry, or do you tend to stay calm?
- Do you find that your mood changes often, or are you generally consistent?
- Do you ever feel like people are talking about you behind your back?
Marketing Intern
The interview process at L'Occitane is a full day thing. The morning starts with a company presentation, so you can get to know their values, what they do, and how they're set up. This part also covers the administrative stuff for the internship, like the conditions and paperwork. All candidates will have a one-on-one presentation with the group and an HR manager, to see how everyone works together and what team skills you have. The afternoon is for individual interviews with the managers of the departments related to the internship, so you can talk more about what they're looking for and your specific skills.
- Why did you choose this internship over others?
