The first interview was virtual and a really nice chat with some standard questions about my interest in the role and the company. The second interview had a presentation on a topic I knew beforehand, followed by questions about it. Then, I had to work through some problems and discuss my answers with the interviewers. It also included competency-based questions related to JLR values. Honestly, HR could have prepared me better for the part where I had to solve problems on my own; I even had to ask to borrow a calculator and pen. They could have given me a heads-up on what to expect for those tasks before the interview.

The interview process started with an online assessment, then moved on to a presentation, and concluded with an interview. The company was very kind. For the presentation task, I was given ample time to prepare thoroughly. There were other people in the meetings before and after, and there was a break between tasks, which I found extremely useful.

The interview process was good. We did a role play scenario and then had to write a report about it. The interview was competency-based, like 'tell me about a time when...'. They asked about the situation, the action I took, the outcome, benefits, obstacles, and if I'd change anything.

  • Tell me about a time when you faced obstacles.
  • Can you provide an example of a situation and the action you took?
  • What was the outcome of the action you took?
