Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process had two main parts. First, there was a part to get to know me better, with some behavioral questions and a simple stats question along with a causation problem. The second part was more hands-on and technical. I was given a dataset beforehand and asked to present some interesting findings using any method, software, or tool I wanted. I ended up building a Tableau dashboard and presented my findings from it using slides. My advice for future candidates would be: "Don't focus on breadth, focus on depth." The data had some really interesting variables, and I think I tried to cover too many things. It's better to stick to one area, do some exploratory/diagnostic analysis, and then maybe dive deeper into statistical testing to explore concepts more thoroughly. Just pick one area and go as deep as you can.

I'm so over the hiring managers here. I've applied for years and interviewed a few times. Once, a hiring manager called me, left a voicemail asking me to call back about a job offer, then ghosted me for days before finally saying I didn't get it. Another time, I had to do an Excel quiz during the interview and was then grilled about why I'd applied so many times to Jaguar. Most recently, I had a phone interview where the hiring manager stated I lacked sufficient experience before I could even speak. It makes no sense to call me in the first place.

The interview was an assessment centre that lasted 3 hours. It involved multiple interviews with the hiring management team. I had to complete a case study review, which was designed to show my ability to interpret data, explain how I arrived at my conclusions or theories, demonstrate effective teamwork, and present my findings concisely to the assessment team.
