The application process for degree apprentices involves three main steps to secure an offer. First, you'll need to complete the application form. Even though they say a CV/cover letter isn't required, it's a good idea to include them to stand out among the many applicants. Next up is the online testing phase, featuring timed questions relevant to the apprenticeship you're applying for. Lastly, there's a long interview, typically around 4 hours, with some breaks included.

The interview process involved technical questions, starting with linked lists which I answered. They then asked about my resume and touched upon machine learning and operating systems. Following the technical part, there was a behavioral segment asking why I'm interested in Jaguar and some questions about their car models.

The interview started with introductions, then I had 5 days to complete a task which I did and presented in the next round. They liked my work a lot. The interview was in person in Coventry and I had travel issues like missed trains and buying tickets twice because transport in Coventry is not great. I managed to complete the task despite the problems. Sadly, I got rejected. It's a shame that recruiters can just send rejections without understanding the effort candidates put in. I was also promised travel reimbursement which I haven't received yet and no feedback was given on my interview, which is frustrating after all the effort.
