It's a shame that a company with a decent reputation was so disorganized during the recruiting process. The job description mentioned training and welcomed entry-level candidates. The recruiter seemed to think I was a good fit, but as soon as I met the hiring manager, he said I wasn’t qualified. He also said there’s no training. My best advice is not to waste a candidate's time by interviewing them if you don’t believe they’re qualified. Unfortunately, I had a lot of business owners I would have sent your way as clients, but I ended up sending them to a competitor instead. Be cautious with this company. Their internal communication is lacking, and the job description is very misleading.

The interview process started with a recruiter phone screen. After that, there were three more rounds. The first one was a one-on-one with a manager where we talked about OOP concepts. Then, I had a timed, online coding assessment. The final round had behavioral questions asked by a panel, and then a live coding exercise followed by a code review exercise. It was a pretty smooth and enjoyable experience overall.

So there were 3 steps in the interview process. The first interview was with an engineering manager, and it went really well, I heard they liked me. Then there was an online code challenge, not too hard but the time limit made it rough. The last part was a 90-minute interview with three engineering managers. It had a soft skills part, a live coding challenge, and a code review. I did well on the soft skills and coding parts. But one of them was just rude, said my soft skill examples were generic. Their loss though.

The interview itself went great I went through all the rounds and really enjoyed the team that I would be working with. However, the communication from the HR team was subpar. I initiated every conversation even when the team member would give me a day they would call back I would follow up days after. This went on for 3 months. She gave me verbal confirmation I got the job early in the process but a month later she kept postponing due to budget. I finally stopped calling her. Again everything except this part of the process was great but I was incredibly disappointed with the lack of communication from the HR team of an HR Company.
