The recruiting department will reach out to you for a telephone screen. If you pass that, you'll be invited in for interviews. Depending on the department you're interviewing with, you might be asked back for a couple more interviews. They use behavioral interviewing, so have some stories ready (like, 'tell me about a time when...'). You're expected to show you know your stuff about HR situations you talk about. You should be able to chat about common HR issues like FMLA, ADA, developing policies, handbook rules, and so on.

The process started with good communication. There were two phone interviews followed by an interview with the hiring manager and a team member. I wasn't a fan of how the interview was structured; it was just question after question for an hour and a half. I get needing structure, but this rigid and intimidating way doesn't really show you who a person is. I reached out to the recruiter and interviewers afterwards, but haven't heard anything since. No follow-up call, no replies to my messages. It was really unprofessional, especially for a company that advises clients on recruiting processes.

  • There were too many questions asked, and it wasn't conversational at all.
  • Some areas and questions I expected to be asked were not.

The interview process started with a recruiter phone screening. Then there was a phone interview with the hiring manager, followed by on-site interviews with multiple people. A unique part was the background check conducted before they extended an offer, as I was one of the two finalists. While not illegal, most companies do this after a contingent offer.
