Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Insperity.
Payroll Specialist
It started with an email and then a phone call from a recruiter. They talked about the job, asked about my background and payroll knowledge, including FLSA. Then another recruiter called to talk more about the role and the company and set up a Zoom interview with two supervisors. The last interview was an hour long with two supervisors.
- What do you know about FLSA?
- Can you share an example of a difficult payroll situation you dealt with and how you resolved it?
- Tell me about your experience in customer service.
Payroll Specialist
I had an interview over a month ago with 2 Payroll Supervisors and it went great, our personalities clicked. The interview itself was fine, but the background check afterwards was really extensive and invasive, and I didn't even know if they were serious about me. I had to work with the background check service and Insperity's HR department several times. Still no word after a month, so I reached out to the supervisors and the recruiter. A few days later, I got a denial letter with no reason.
- Tell me about what you would do in various payroll situations.
- Describe how you would handle different HR scenarios.
- How would you approach multiple customer service situations?
Staff Accountant
I spoke with two people, the head of the team and the department head. Beforehand, I had to complete a skills test. They looked over my resume and asked questions about my past experience.
- What is your biggest weakness?
- Why are you interested in Insperity?
