UX Researcher
The interview process for this UX researcher position was pretty standard. It kicked off with a recruiter call, followed by a conversation with the hiring manager or director. Then there was a panel interview which included a scenario-based assessment. The process wrapped up with a final chat with the hiring manager or director. Overall, it felt like a pretty typical process for this kind of role.
- Can you describe your experience collaborating with stakeholders and how you nurture client relationships?
Account Manager
My interview experience was absolutely terrible. I interviewed in late May and got an offer pretty quickly. They wanted me to start the next week, so I quit my current role with less than two weeks notice. The Friday before my start date, they told me they were delayed in processing my background check and said they needed my W-2s from my part time job in college (a job I had 7 years ago). I sent them the W-2s immediately. Come the next Friday, they told me they were once again delaying my start date due to issues with their onboarding process. This repeatedly happened, so I began applying for new roles. I interviewed for a new role, waiting for the hiring manager to come back, then got an offer and a start date without starting at ICF the entire time. In total, they delayed my start date 7 weeks and I rescinded my offer. Highly recommend you do not quit your current role until you are cleared for their onboarding process.

Instructional Designer
I had a phone screen that was supposed to be followed by video interviews. The recruiter mentioned the hiring manager had already screened my resume. The recruiter call went really well and I was told I'd hear back in 48 hours. I didn't hear back so I followed up after a couple of days, was told there was no update, and then followed up again a week later. I was given a generic reason why my application wasn't moving forward to a video interview. It's a red flag that the job has been posted and reposted multiple times; it's very clear they don't know what they're looking for.
- Regarding salary expectations and if you are okay with the proposed range, which was different from the one posted?
Data Analyst
There were 3 rounds of interviews: a phone screen, a meeting with team members, and a meeting with senior leadership. The recruiter was great - friendly and communicative, and shared her experience at ICF. Everyone I spoke with praised the company and its work-life balance. The questions were specific to me and showed they'd read my resume and cover letter. I got a lot of info about ICF, including benefits, role duties, and organization structure. The interviewers seemed genuinely interested in me, and the whole process was professional and respectful of my time.
