The interview process started with some email exchanges with HR. Then there was a video interview that went well, with technical questions from the VPs. About two weeks later, I received a call to confirm my salary expectations as they intended to extend an offer. However, it was then revealed that the position did not include a bonus, and that the advertised salary ranges were not firm, but would be adjusted based on location. I then revised my salary expectations due to the lack of a bonus. They said they would send an offer the following Monday, but I heard nothing and my calls and emails went unanswered. Two months passed before they contacted me again. They claimed HR was unaware of the bonus situation and asked me for salary ranges both with and without a bonus to proceed with an offer. Despite my attempts to get feedback, they eventually sent a rejection letter with reasons that seemed untrue, as I was apparently their top choice. This experience with ICF was very unprofessional and reflects poorly on the company.

I had a phone screen with HR that was about 30 minutes. Then I had a second phone interview with someone offsite who knew more about the project, also about a half hour. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview which lasted about 3 hours and had 4 parts: a short HR interview, a 45-minute interview with an executive, an hour-long interview with two other assistants, and a final half-hour interview with the project lead. I found out about a week and a half later I didn't get the job.

The job description wasn't very specific, and the chat with HR didn't fully clarify the tasks involved. However, the interview itself went okay. They clearly explained the company and working conditions. I also appreciated the straightforward feedback on why my application wasn't successful.
