Case Technical

I applied through the Careers Page and got a call from HR within a few days. After a basic resume screening, there were 2 rounds of interviews. The first was with a Senior Consultant and a Principal Consultant, and the second was with a Senior Manager.

Behavioral

The process was a single round, a behavioral interview, specifically for an intern role. It was mostly about assessing your values and culture fit. You might need to talk about why you want to work at ICF, why you're interested in this specific position, and potentially about the company's sustainability focus.

Behavioral Technical

I had an initial screening call with an HR recruiter who asked general questions and referenced my resume, saying the team liked my qualifications and I was a good fit. She mentioned I was moving to the next round and I should hear from the team the following week. After a 2-3 week wait, I followed up and the team emailed, apologizing and scheduling two more interviews for the same day. These interviews were conversational, with time for my questions, and we discussed shared interests and potential projects. They noted how my resume points would be useful. They mentioned I'd hear back within a week. After another 3-week wait, I emailed the manager from the second round. The HR recruiter responded saying a different candidate was selected. While the interviews were good, the communication was slow, and I would have appreciated faster updates or at least an explanation for the delay. It was also awkward that the HR recruiter responded to my update request instead of a manager, and more specific feedback would have been helpful given their comments on my fit.
