Had a really good chat with an Agile Coach at Guardian Life. We mostly talked about SAFe stuff, how to get different teams to work together better, making sure the product idea lines up with how we build things using Agile, and how to push for changes across the whole company by always getting better and making sure everyone's on the same page.

The interview process for this position was seamless. From the start, everyone I spoke with was transparent about the type of work I'd be doing, the company culture, as well as the timeline/steps for the interview process. My conversations were split between in person and virtual, which was great considering we don't see many in-person interviews anymore in a post-covid world. Lastly, the entire interview process was extremely quick and efficient compared to other companies I've interviewed with.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process consisted of two rounds, both conducted virtually via Teams. I was impressed by the prompt feedback after the first interview, and the second interview was scheduled just a week later. I had the opportunity to meet with several managers and leaders, all of whom conducted themselves very professionally. Every question asked felt purposeful, providing a chance to elaborate on my experience, skills, and achievements. Similarly, my own questions about the role were addressed thoroughly. Overall, I was very satisfied with how the interviews were handled.

I had a phone call with the recruiter, then a virtual interview where I had to record myself answering questions. After that, there was a technical interview. In the technical interview, we talked about my past experience and then they asked like 20-30 Java fundamental questions. It seemed like they were reading from a website, they didn't seem prepared. I thought there would be a leetcode-style interview with live coding, but there wasn't. So, it didn't go that well. The recruiter was nice, but the interviewers were pretty uninterested. Not the best experience overall.
