Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Guardian Life.
Intern
The whole thing took about a month. First, we set up the interview, then there were 2 interviews, and then they gave me a follow-up offer. It was a good experience, and the people interviewing me were really interested in what I had to say. The company is really nice and welcoming. I'd suggest it to anyone looking for an internship or a full-time job.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you tell us about a project you were involved in?
- What made you interested in working at X?
Technology Intern
First I got a call from hr and then we scheduled a phone interview where they asked why I wanted the position. After that, I had a second phone interview where they asked about my projects. I was told I got the offer about a month or so later.
- What makes you want to work at guardian?
- Could you tell me about your projects?
- Why are you interested in this role?
Intern
I had two interviews. The first was a panel interview with three managers, and it was a pretty standard behavioral interview. The second interview was totally technical, and they asked me about my knowledge of SQL and other languages.
- What are your goals for this internship?
