Submitted my application and got an email confirmation. The Talent Acquisition Manager reached out soon after with interview availability and a link to the interviewer's profile, which was nice to check out beforehand. The interview was virtual. I'm unsure if it was recorded, but it was a good experience overall. Even though I didn't get the job, I got a quick update from the Talent Acquisition Manager and a personal note from the interviewer, which I really appreciated as it made the process feel more human.

This job had a three-part interview. The first was a remote screening interview, which was initiated early August. The next interview was in person, about two weeks later with two members of the team. The third interview was the following week, with two more members; I had an expiring offer elsewhere so it seemed like HR was willing to expedite the process. Both in person interviews were similarly structured; talking about skill, interests, etc, and sharing portfolio, followed by more in depth discussions. Every member of the team that I talked to had different perspectives and interests, all were great to talk to and very kind, interesting people.

I applied for a M.Arch internship with Gensler Singapore and started my internship with them from May till September. Regarding the interview process, it was well-organised and made enjoyable as well given the activities we were tasked to do with our groupmates during the session, which was definitely refreshingly different and made the setting more comfortable and relaxed. HR was responsive and prompt in answering any queries and clarifications I had.

During the initial screening with Gensler, the recruiter mainly checked my basic details like where I live, when I graduate, my visa status, and if I needed help with OPT or any other work permits. They also asked if I was still interested in the job I applied for, if I was open to other similar roles, and when I could start. They didn't ask about my portfolio or technical stuff, just wanted to know the background stuff to see if I should move on to the next interview steps.
