Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gensler.
Intern
It was a quick process where they asked me about what I've done. They looked through my portfolio and had me explain my projects and the software I used. They also asked about teamwork experiences and why I picked this location.
- Which software did you use for various drawing types?
- Could you elaborate on the software employed in your projects?
- Describe your experiences working in a team.
Intern
I applied for a M.Arch internship with Gensler Singapore and started my internship with them from May till September. Regarding the interview process, it was well-organised and made enjoyable as well given the activities we were tasked to do with our groupmates during the session, which was definitely refreshingly different and made the setting more comfortable and relaxed. HR was responsive and prompt in answering any queries and clarifications I had.
- How would your group's proposed idea be distinguished from those of other groups?
Intern
It was a standard interview using Microsoft's meeting software and Revit's online testing. I interviewed with the department head and we briefly discussed my portfolio. Make sure your internet connection is stable. The interview questions were quite formal.
- Tell me about the biggest challenge you've faced.
- How do you go about learning information about our company?
- Do you have any other questions for us?
