Behavioral Case

After a quick and professional phone screen, I had an onsite panel interview. This included two partners, a supervising paralegal, and an HR person. The interview was pretty structured and involved scenarios. The partners were interested in my risk judgment and how I manage clients. The supervising paralegal wanted to know about my attention to detail, following procedures, and working with others when things are busy. HR asked about how I'd fit into the company culture and any practical stuff.

First I chatted with the recruiter on the phone. Then I interviewed with the data manager. There wasn't a technical interview, but they did ask me some hypothetical questions about specific situations and how I would handle them. The final interview was with the manager of the team I would be joining. They asked me some behavioral questions and then talked about the company and the role itself.

So, Fragomen's hiring process usually starts with a recruiter calling or video chatting you to see if you're a good fit and if you're interested. If they like you, you'll have more chats with managers or people on the team. They'll check out your technical skills, how much you know about immigration, and if you fit with what Fragomen believes in. For some jobs, they might give you a test, some real-life scenarios, or a case to work on. They really want to see if you can solve problems, if you're good with clients, if you pay attention to details, and if you can keep up in a busy, worldwide setting. Sometimes, you might even talk to top bosses before they decide to offer you a job.

Behavioral Technical

Applied through a job board and received an automated email for a screening interview four days later. I scheduled it for the next day. It was a standard screening with relevant questions from the talent specialist. Surprisingly, I got an interview request with the hiring manager the very next day. It seems this role prioritizes cultural fit over experience and skills, unless you already align with their expectations. I suspect mirroring the interviewer's personality could lead to further advancement. A month has passed with no update, and I don't anticipate one, as I realized within the first few minutes that I wasn't a good fit.
