Technical Escalation Manager
So the interview process started with a quick chat with the recruiter, then I had a technical interview with the hiring manager. We talked about a lot of things, like dealing with escalations, how to talk to different people, and what I'd do on my own. They really cared about how I communicate, especially with top execs. They even had me write an email to a CEO during a made-up crisis. We also went over my previous jobs and what I'd be doing here. It was pretty straightforward and focused on stuff I'd actually do in the job.
- In what ways would you contribute as an individual contributor in the Technical Escalation Manager position?
Customer Success Account Manager
The interview process was pretty well-structured and professional. I got to chat with a bunch of people from the team, including hiring managers and some leaders. It gave me a good sense of what the job entails, what's expected, and the team vibe. Every chat was engaging and really focused on my background and how I could help customers succeed and bring long-term value. All in all, it was a smooth, open, and really good experience.
- Can you share how you handle difficult customer scenarios?
- Tell me about your approach to ensuring successful customer renewals.
Software Engineer
The interview process starts with a hr call where they give brief info about the company and the role. Then it is followed by 4 rounds of interviews: 1. Tech round covering dsa, 2. Team lead/ team manager round, 3. Director round, 4. Hr round.
- Can you describe the layers of the OSI model?
- Could you explain what a linked list is?
- Tell me about recursion and how it applies to trees, perhaps with an example.
Senior Site Reliability Engineer
After an employee referral, I had an initial chat with the recruiter. The interview schedule was super fast and intense, with meetings with three different people over three consecutive days. Unfortunately, the offer was given to someone else while I was still in talks with the VP. They then placed me on a different team for a similar role. I spoke with the VP first, followed by the technical team the next day. I got good feedback on my strengths. I was expecting to hear back, but after three weeks of silence, it felt like ghosting. When I contacted the recruiter for an update, they mentioned being in the later stages with another candidate and had zero feedback on my application unless I proactively reached out. I didn't get any clear areas for improvement. This whole experience was quite off-putting due to the lack of basic courtesy, especially after dedicating around 4.5 hours of my time speaking with six different people for about 45 minutes each.
- Can you walk me through your projects?
- Tell me about your experience with automation from a technical standpoint.
- How does your experience with tech stacks compare to our current ones?
