First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Experis.
Senior Developer / Tech Lead
Had a good interview discussing both technical and functional aspects. They asked a lot of technical questions about design and implementation problems. They are looking for people who can implement, develop, and support. They also want to see that you understand the system and the processes involved.
- Can you describe the process for creating an OIC integration for FBDI import?
Data Engineer
The recruiter was relentless with phone calls. I had a brief interview with them for a position, and they wanted to get back to me to schedule a second. Instead of using the regular channels, they would call aggressively when I was busy. If I didn’t pick up, they would call back and text several times within the hour instead of giving me a chance to respond.
- Could you describe a time you migrated infrastructure from on-premise to Azure?
FastTrack Manager
Interview with questions focused on Soft Skills and Technical Skills, mainly on M365 Cloud services (migrations, support, security). Some questions also about the company: in this case, Microsoft. Knowing other languages is also relevant. In my case, English, Italian, and Spanish.
- Who is the CEO of Microsoft?
- Can you describe your experience with M365 cloud services, including migrations, support, and security?
- What can you tell me about Microsoft?
Software Engineer
I spoke with a recruiter from Experis. The first step was a phone interview, followed by an unexpected Teams call. The recruiter became quite persistent in requesting information on the same day. After that, I had to complete an online assessment. The assessment itself was buggy and required me to use Mozilla just to open it and get it installed correctly (it was a legacy create react app). It involved a simple todo app with basic React and styling questions. I finished it within an hour and submitted it. The next day, I followed up for an update but didn't hear back from the recruiter until the following week. This was bad timing because the company was making decisions by the end of that week. The recruiter then ghosted me, only to reply the following week with the explanation that my assessment wasn't strong enough, which surprised me given how basic the exercises were. I wouldn't recommend this company; they seem disorganized and don't keep applicants informed.
- Can you explain what pure components are in React?
