I had several phone interviews with the Managing Director, Sales Director, another Managing Director, and a Senior Recruiter. An executive staffing firm brought me the opportunity but didn't really prepare me well for the interview or the company. I was interviewed for both IT and Engineering Business Development Manager roles. The interview was a bit confusing regarding who was who and their roles. They really tried to sell me on the job and definitely oversold some aspects.

This was a really long and drawn-out interview process. I was set up for an interview with a VP, but I wasn't even aware of it. Then, at the very last minute, I was told he couldn't make it, which was great since I never knew it was scheduled in the first place. For my in-person interview, the interviewer was half an hour late. After the interview process, the recruiter told me I'd hear back from the manager. I waited a week with no word, so I followed up with the recruiter. He said she would call that day, but nothing happened. Again, I was told the manager would call, and still, nothing. Finally, the recruiter let me know they decided to go with another candidate. I'm sure my experience would have been different if I had been the leading candidate.
