First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Evolent.
Customer Service Representative
My interview with Evolent was remote and pretty simple. The questions asked were about my previous customer service experience and if they were relevant to the job I applied for. The interviewer was hard to read and I thought I didn't do well, but I still got a job offer soon after the interview.
- Can you share an instance where you went above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service?
Analyst
The hiring process was really smooth and the people were professional all the way through. The HR team was really on top of things and kept me updated during all three interview rounds. It was super fast, the whole thing from the first chat to getting the offer letter took only two to three weeks.
- What was one question they asked you?
Software Developer
This was the worst interview experience ever for a .Net Core, Sql Backend Dev role. I completed two tech rounds, and then HR told me my experience wasn't enough and they weren't moving forward. They rescheduled interviews a lot while scheduling the first two rounds. HR doesn't communicate, they don't know what's going on. The second round was rescheduled 4 times! So, there are lots of management issues. The interviewers were really good and humble, the difficulty was low, and the interview was smooth and interactive.
- What are your basic to intermediate .Net Core skills?
- Can you explain your basic to intermediate Entity Framework knowledge?
- Tell me about your basic to intermediate Sql experience.
Licensed Practical Nurse
Recruiter contacted me 2 months post-application. After a brief chat where she seemed impressed, she set up a virtual interview with two hiring managers for the following week. The managers were late and didn't turn on their cameras. They explained the role and asked me to summarize my resume. Then came behavioral questions. They mentioned I could ask questions later. During my answers, they seemed distracted; one manager had to leave mid-interview due to a visitor at her door and engaged in a conversation. The other manager rushed through the remaining questions. She informed me the next step involved an assessment via email from someone with the initial 'A', after which a decision would be communicated. I never got to ask questions, didn't receive the assessment email, and heard nothing about a decision. I emailed both managers with no reply, then emailed the recruiter two weeks later, also without a response. The candidate portal updated to 'not selected' two weeks after the interview. I was disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-up.
- Can you describe your experience based on your resume?
