Behavioral

After sending my CV, an HR employee contacted me to schedule an interview. The recruiter used 1 hour of my time to ask me questions for which the answers were already in my CV. I think that was just an excuse to ask which were my salary expectations. To make it even worse, other than it is a cGMP environment the recruiter had ABSOLUTELY ZERO knowledge of the particulars of the position. So I could not ask him questions that are fundamental to define a salary range.

Behavioral Technical

The interview had two parts: first, a 30-minute phone call with a recruiter, and second, a 30-45 minute in-person meeting at the lab with a supervisor and a senior tech. The recruiter, though from a third-party agency, was nice and asked about my background, with question difficulty depending on how much I shared. This first stage felt like a basic check to see if I knew what I was talking about. Then, I was quickly called for an in-person interview. I had to wait about half an hour upon arriving early. The senior tech was nice, but the lab supervisor seemed uninterested. The senior tech asked most of the questions, focusing on my personality and how I work in a wet lab. I mentioned my three years of wet lab experience and my collaborative nature, wanting to learn from seniors. However, the supervisor and senior tech reacted negatively to this, and the interview ended abruptly. They said I'd get a follow-up, but after a couple of months and unanswered emails, I realized I was ghosted, especially since the job was still posted. Terrible experience.

Technical Coding Behavioral

It started with an online assessment that had 4 DSA questions and some core CS multiple-choice questions. After that, I had two technical interviews. The first one covered DSA, OOP concepts, a discussion about my projects, and some SQL queries. The second interview was more managerial. They asked about my SQL knowledge, my projects, what I was good at technically, and then asked questions based on that. For example, they asked me to explain OOP concepts using a pen as an example object. They also asked about my family background.

Technical Technical Behavioral

There were two rounds of interviews. The first was a technical one lasting about an hour, and the second was a techno-managerial interview that took 45 minutes to an hour. After that, there was an HR interview and negotiation. They asked questions related to the job, focusing on concepts. Domain knowledge in certification and testing isn't really expected for technical roles since not many companies work in that specific area.
