The application process for this traineeship is excessive and loses its purpose, especially for an entry-level position. After a CV and cover letter selection, you start with an introductory meeting and personality test: This is usual, but the way it's applied feels random. The idea that you only advance if you are "red enough" shows arbitrary and frankly absurd selection criteria. It undermines professionalism and inclusivity. Then a competency test follows: This can also be valuable, but here too, a minimum score is sought for the traineeship. This seems to be an extra hurdle rather than a way to measure suitability. After this selection, there are interviews with former trainees and management: Valuable in itself, but in the context of an already endless process, this feels more like an ordeal than an opportunity for mutual insight. This procedure creates an unnecessarily high threshold and deters the best candidates. A traineeship should attract and excite young professionals, not drive them away with a hugely bureaucratic process.
