We started with a recruiter call where they asked some basic questions. Then, there was a team interview with the manager, lead dev, and project manager. This part included a basic technical question and a simple Python coding task. Finally, there was a round with cognitive and behavioral questions.

It started with an online assessment that had 4 DSA questions and some core CS multiple-choice questions. After that, I had two technical interviews. The first one covered DSA, OOP concepts, a discussion about my projects, and some SQL queries. The second interview was more managerial. They asked about my SQL knowledge, my projects, what I was good at technically, and then asked questions based on that. For example, they asked me to explain OOP concepts using a pen as an example object. They also asked about my family background.

So I got contacted by a recruiter about a senior software engineer role at Eurofins, but he didn't have many details. I said I was interested, and then got a rejection email, which he later said was a mistake. Then he scheduled an interview for 8pm IST, which I figured out was 8:30 am my time. The first interview was super cold and technical, just a bunch of questions without any intro. After that, the recruiter said they wanted a final interview with a director and someone else. This second interview was strange too. One person barely spoke, and the other didn't seem to want to be there. They asked some random behavioral and technical questions, and when I asked about the job, the answers were really vague. I eventually gathered it was for a new, small research group doing machine learning, and I'd be the first full-stack engineer to write code. After that interview, I never heard back. I followed up with the recruiter, and when I told them I had another offer, they said they weren't moving forward.
