Quality Analyst
So first I had an interview with HR, then I was called in for an in-person interview. After that, the manager interviewed me, and then there was a panel interview. They asked me about my previous job experience and other general questions, like what they do here and what the expectations will be.
- Can you explain Risk Management?
- Tell me about your past work experience.
- What are your responsibilities in this role?
Senior QA Engineer
I got a call from Ranstad (a consultancy) and the process began on June 21st with a technical interview. Then on June 29th, they scheduled my manager round, and I got positive feedback with an email asking for all my documents. On the same day, I got a call from the project manager at Eurofins asking about shifts, and I was fine with any shifts. Then, when I started asking about the HR round, they said they needed to generate my PUID. After one week, I got a message from my consultant that it was generated and they were going to release my offer. Again, I started calling for the offer, and they said they were going to schedule another managerial round with the US project manager, which went well. After waiting 2 days, I got feedback from my consultancy that they were not giving a proper response and were saying they would hire some other candidate and then onboard me. It was a shocking experience, and I never expected this from such a product-based organization. Be aware, don't get fooled into this trap.
- Can you write a program to reverse a string?
- What is XPath?
- Can you explain Agile?
QA Tester
They first contacted me by email and phone for a face-to-face interview. Upon arrival, I found about 500 people waiting, and they hadn't pre-screened any resumes. We waited 1.5 hours before they started shortlisting resumes on the spot. Half the people were sent home, with reasons like 'resume not a fit,' which could have been determined before they were even called in. For those who made it past that, the first round was technical, involving coding exercises, which seemed odd for a manual role, and some candidates were rejected. The second round was with a manager, and the third was with HR. My advice: if they invite you for a direct face-to-face interview, don't bother. Out of 500, only about 5 get selected, and it's a lot of effort for a slim chance. They really should do resume screening beforehand; even without an interview, half the people left after just showing up. It's better to attend only if the interview is online.
