This interview experience was incredibly unprofessional and disorganized. I had an interview scheduled for December 2024, but when I joined the Zoom call, I got an email saying it was rescheduled. I tried to get clarification but heard nothing back. About two weeks later, the interview finally happened. The recruiter mentioned they were already far into the process and would 'see if he could push things forward.' Sadly, I never got a follow-up. It felt like my interview was forgotten and only addressed after other candidates were looked at. The whole thing felt rushed, chaotic, and disrespectful of my time. It's frustrating to miss out on a chance because of poor planning and communication. People interviewing deserve a process that's clear, organized, and considerate.

First, a 30-minute recruiter call to go over the interview process. Then, a 45-minute meeting with the hiring manager. Finally, there are three 45-minute panel interviews with different stakeholders, typically including a director, a non-technical stakeholder, and one or two team members. Each person on the panel will ask questions relevant to their area, covering communication, product understanding, or coding skills.

I was first contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. Then, I had a 30-minute phone screen with the recruiter. After that, I proceeded to a 1-hour HR interview with a panel of engineers and some leadership. It seemed to go really well. However, after a few weeks, I was ghosted by the recruiter and never got any rejection email. Months later, I found out the role was closed. The recruiter never responded to my LinkedIn messages or follow-up emails, which was a bad experience.

The selection process was thorough but felt very personalized compared to other companies. It started with a resume, Leetcode, and GitHub profile screening. It was quite competitive, with a small number of students shortlisted. The most unique part was the online assessment, which had no time limit. It consisted of around 40 questions ranging from MCQs to debugging and coding. I spent about 4 hours on it to ensure my answers were thorough, specifically focusing on designing my own test suites. It appeared that students who took their time to ensure quality were the ones shortlisted. Tech Round 1 involved a deep dive into my projects. The interviewer was patient and friendly. We solved one Data Structures question involving Linked Lists. Tech Round 2 focused on Computer Science domains. I was asked about Game Development concepts (game loops, animations, rasterization) and behavioral questions about how I would operate with unlimited resources.

  • Can you solve easy to medium coding questions in C/C++?
  • How would you approach the sum of two numbers represented by Linked Lists?
