Decathlon has a process with a few interviews. You start with a video intro if you get past the initial screening. Then, you'll chat with potential teammates and managers. Since it's accounting, expect an Excel test. The final stage involves a sports game with the rest of the team and any other candidates.

Case Behavioral Technical

The process started well with relevant rounds. After 4 rounds (HR, Hiring manager, Peer/colleagues), they said they were interested to go to the final round & then ghosted me. Then a few weeks later they came back with positive news & an apology. But then ghosted me again - after which I received no response. Seemed unprofessional and a reflection of lack of structure or internal accountability in their hiring process. Disappointing for such a big corporate.

Behavioral Technical

Had a one-hour interview which was pretty standard with the store manager. They asked questions about my CV and were particularly interested in the sports I play because the salespeople are expected to advise on the sports they practice. Also asked about the brands and the Decathlon universe, equipment, and sports...

Behavioral Presentation Other

The interview happens at the store with the manager or team leader and takes about 20 to 45 minutes. It usually starts with a quick intro to the brand and the job, then they ask about your availability, any past experience you have, and why you want to work in retail. You'll probably get asked behavioral questions like how you'd deal with a tough customer or juggle many things when it's busy. Some interviewers might also do short role-plays to see how you talk to customers and solve problems on the spot.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you describe your main strengths and any weaknesses you have?
  • What are your biggest strengths and what are your weaknesses?
