Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Decathlon.
Logistics Manager
Lots of interviews. If you don't have prior experience, they'll try to put you as an operator first, then you can move up to manager (even if you have a degree). Interviews are comfortable and nice. They ask general questions to get to know you better and will show you the warehouse.
- What has been your worst experience?
Logistics Manager
The process has 3 stages: an HR interview, an interview with your direct manager (n+1), and an interview with the warehouse director where they primarily want to understand your experience and motivations. The interviews are quite repetitive, but overall it's good practice.
- Can you introduce yourself in an original way?
Logistics Specialist
It's a group interview, where you sit at a table with other candidates. They ask you to introduce yourselves informally, maybe even with a drawing and by writing your name on a paper. Afterwards, you have to do a group activity. Then there's a waiting period, where you're either sent home or kept for a more in-depth individual interview.
- You were asked to introduce yourselves, followed by a group exercise simulating an average workday, arranging tasks in numerical order, then an unexpected event to insert and, if necessary, reorder priorities.
