I interviewed for a Lead QA/Automation position. It started with a screening call where I mentioned my salary expectations. Then there were two technical rounds that took a lot of my prep time. The third round was an in-person interview at the office with the AVP, which required me to take time off work. After a lot of chasing, I found out they weren't moving forward because of salary, which was disappointing since we'd talked about it early on. It would have been better to sort out salary alignment before multiple interview rounds. My feedback is to align salary expectations in the screening stage, respect candidates' time, communicate professionally, and consider negotiation or an HR round for salary discussions. The technical parts of the early rounds were okay though.

Behavioral Technical Coding

So I had an HR screening first, just asking about my background. Then the hiring manager called me right after. That was a pretty chill chat, mostly behavioral stuff. The next round was supposed to be a tech interview with 3-4 people, but only two showed up, which was kinda weird. They didn't have cameras on at first, and one guy even got caught waking up! It was hard to tell what they wanted for answers sometimes, they'd just repeat the question instead of explaining, like when they wanted code typed out. It also felt like not much teamwork happens there, more like people working solo and passing stuff to the offshore team.

Behavioral Technical

I had 4 interviews with 5 people total, and it took about a month. I spent over 5 hours prepping, interviewing, and coordinating with TA. First was a phone screen. Then I met with two supervisors. After that, I interviewed with the SIU Director. The last interview was with the VP. The TA manager was super responsive at first, even unsolicitedly saying how impressed they were after previous interviews. But after the last one, I followed up and got ghosted for over a month. Then the TA manager finally replied saying the team thought I wasn't 'ready' for the role. It was really frustrating to interview 4 times and waste a VP's time for feedback that I was just 'not ready'. This whole experience left me with such a bad taste for the company, I'd never apply or recommend them.

I applied via campus recruitment. The process had 3 interview rounds. First was an online MCQ test covering Quantitative aptitude, English, technical topics, and Logical aptitude, with a time constraint for each section (e.g., 1 minute per question). Second was a technical interview focusing on Advanced SQL, Excel, Basic Python, Power BI, and my resume projects. The final round was an HR interview covering basic background checks and assessing my attitude.
