Manager
I applied online and then a recruiter reached out. After that, I had an interview with the hiring manager, followed by an interview with someone from another team. Finally, I interviewed with the head of the region. It was a long process, but they were really professional throughout. Really professional overall.

Product Manager
Applied for a Product Manager role in Chicago (HQ) and New York. Went through 4 rounds of interviews with 6 people over 6 weeks. Everyone was great, positive about the company and team. Recruiter said feedback was excellent, skills matched, and an offer was coming. BUT, leadership decided the role had to be in New York. This was after 6 weeks of interviews and meeting the Chicago-based team! I wouldn't have applied if it was only for NY. I asked to stay in Chicago, offered to travel or reconsider NY with better pay. Asked about the location change reason - scope hadn't changed, it was just management's preference. The offered pay for NY was only 160k base, which is ridiculous compared to Chicago's 150k. Started well, but ended unprofessionally, disrespecting my time due to poor planning. Even former recruiters said it was unprofessional. Team interactions were great, but the handling of the end was bad, leaving a negative impression of CME.

QA Analyst
The interview process moved quickly and was very efficient. I did have an issue with the recruiter, Dileta, who was quite rude and unprofessional. She seemed to be trying to get me to say negative things and create conflict instead of having a productive conversation. Her demeanor was unfriendly and dismissive, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. I think CME should really look into this because it makes them look bad.

Software Engineer Intern
i cold applied online and then did an auto OA with two LC easy questions, which was pretty chill. then i had an hr call, which was a bit unusual cuz i got moved into a more competitive yearlong program pipeline. after that, it was the first round which was a 1hr tech interview with a standard LC question. the final round had a 15 min behavioral interview and a 1hr system design. then i got the offer! for the interviews, both OA and the final round used Glider, which was a pain due to technical issues. round 1 was a LC easy array question (took 5 min) and they asked if i preferred Java or Python. round 2 was a 15 min behavioral with HR, pretty standard stuff like 'why CME?', 'why this position?', and 'what would you do in X scenario?'. the 1hr sys design was about designing Uber but with a really specific, non-standard requirement: a deep dive into APIs, detailing every field, its type (like VARCHAR(<255)), primary key for every single SQL table. they also wanted a UI sketch on Glider. my interviewer was super nice and helpful with the Glider issues and gave hints. there was also a scheduled HR feedback call on my resume where they mentioned CME reviews all resumes by humans, not ATS, and to put skills after education, show depth in one area, and include non-academic extracurriculars to be memorable. also, it's a must to include project dates even though Glider is bad. everyone i interacted with was great, and HR was good with rescheduling.
