The interview process moved quickly and was very efficient. I did have an issue with the recruiter, Dileta, who was quite rude and unprofessional. She seemed to be trying to get me to say negative things and create conflict instead of having a productive conversation. Her demeanor was unfriendly and dismissive, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. I think CME should really look into this because it makes them look bad.

After clearing the initial phone interview, I was called in for a face-to-face interview after asking multiple times. Initially, they mentioned many open roles and they were trying to figure out where I'd fit. However, the first panel of interviewers weren't assessing my skills as I expected; they seemed to be mocking me, which made me lose confidence. During the second round with a different panel, I struggled with some initial questions from one interviewer, but I eventually recovered and answered well. Interestingly, two interviewers from the second round were also part of the initial phone interview and asked the exact same questions, which I had answered correctly before. After 10 days and further inquiries, I was informed I wasn't selected. It's confusing since I passed the phone screen with the same questions, so why didn't I succeed in the second round? I later found out an office assistant with 10 years of experience was hired for the position. I question the purpose of such a mocking process and why my time was wasted.

I went through HR screening over the phone, then a technical interview also on the phone. After that, I had a technical test I took at home, and then a final technical interview on-site. There was about a week between each step. They dug a little deeper with each part to get more info. I felt like they only wanted the best candidates. It was a good learning experience for me about my own strengths and weaknesses. Too bad it didn't work out. On to the next.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you justify why you answered this way or that way in the technical test?
  • How do you keep your software tester skills up to date?
  • You mentioned ISEB/ISTQB. Why did you choose them? We think they're a dead or dying organization and having their qualification is meaningless, isn't it?
