It started with an online test that included basic maths, finance questions, and some Excel and VBA questions, plus questions about motivation. Then there were questions about CVar, VaR calculation, what a Bond, Repo, and Fixed income are. Also about Greeks like delta and Gamma, CDO, CDS, and Volatilité implicite, including how to calculate/estimate it historically.

So this was a contract role but they kept talking about stability and wanting people to stay long term, which felt a bit insincere given the contract nature. They also don't seem to offer any performance or other bonuses, which makes you wonder about management. It also seems like they've been hiring for L2 roles for a while now, always looking for people. It would be good if they took a moment to reflect on that.

So, a headhunter suggested I apply for this Senior IT Auditor Leader role. The process was long and honestly, the interviewers seemed pretty disinterested. It started with HR, then the hiring manager, followed by the director, and finally the VP. Four rounds felt a bit much for a role that isn't really mid-management. The worst part was the waiting – weeks would go by between interviews with no word from HR or the recruiter, stretching the whole thing out over 3 months. Just a heads-up if you're interviewing with this company, keep looking elsewhere because it takes forever. The VP was the most approachable and actually listened to my questions, which was nice. The other two, not so much; they just seemed to be reading off checklists and barely cracked a smile. Super tough crowd. I'm assuming I didn't get the job since I haven't heard back. Really disappointed by the lack of professionalism, especially from such a well-known international bank.
