Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CACIB.
Sales Assistant
Several interviews; phone call, video call, then in-person (meeting with part of the team). At the start, basic fit questions (background, motivations...). Then a series of technical questions (news from the past few days, knowledge of financial products, brainteaser...)
- Do you know structured products?
- Could you tell me about autocalls.
Sales Assistant
The interview process included a recruiter call, followed by a technical screen and an onsite interview. During these stages, I was asked about current economic trends related to interest rates, specifically EURIBOR. I also had to explain hedging strategies for interest rate risk using instruments like swaps, swaptions, caps, and floors. There were also questions about recent economic news and an understanding of options and futures.
- Can you rank the most indebted countries and explain the different EURIBOR rates across various tenors?
- What are the current economic trends related to interest rates, and how do they compare to the period since the last crisis?
- Explain the concepts of options and term products.
Sales
Did a test on the career site (standard). Then had a phone interview with 7 people from different teams, mostly fit questions. Finally, an in-person interview in Montrouge with HR, the manager, and the Head of ST Europe. After about 15 interviews total, the offer wasn't filled because the headcount was cancelled.
- Fit question
- Technical question regarding options, macros, and 2021 forecasts
