I waited about 10 minutes, and then the hiring manager took me up to their office. We started with introductions, and the manager was really professional and seemed easy-going. The questions were pretty basic, which is good for someone new to retail.

I came in for an in person interview, it was about 30 mins. They asked about my previous experience and for me to rundown my resume. Then they asked scenario based questions, like what would you do if x happened, and how my previous experience related. I got a call with a job offer within 1-2 weeks and orientation started soon after.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Describe a situation from your past where you encountered a problem and how you resolved it.
  • How does your prior work history connect with the requirements of this position?
  • What action would you take in response to a hypothetical scenario?

The interview process took a long time. I met with 5 people back-to-back on the same day, and I was there for several hours. All 5 interviewers asked the same questions repeatedly. By the time I got to the last person, I was exhausted. It would have been better if they had all interviewed me together, which would have made the process more enjoyable and less repetitive.
