It was a pretty standard interview process with three interviews: one with HR, one with the director, and one with the hiring manager. No test or work sample was required.

I had a phone interview with HR, followed by a phone interview with a team member. Then, I was invited for a five-hour in-person interview, which I attended. However, halfway through, I decided to leave, which is a first for me. This is also my first Glassdoor review, as I felt compelled to share my experience. The in-person interview involved two groups. The first group asked me to pick a project and discuss its goals, enhancements, and KPIs. I used an onboarding project from my previous job, explaining the need identification, hypothesis, and A/B testing. They commented that BBB's work is more complex than just an A/B test. Then, I asked about PM Methodologies like Scrum or Agile, and they corrected me, explaining it's the 'development process' and lecturing on the differences. This meeting ended quickly as the next group was waiting. The first group apparently shared their experience and laughed about my last question with the next group. The second group asked about my strengths; I mentioned never missing a deadline, and they questioned it. When assigning the next whiteboarding project, they condescendingly asked me to include my timeline strategy, referencing my stated strength. They also asked about my recent PM skill development. I mentioned my current consulting work with a startup, focusing on team framework, product marketing, UI, and dashboards. This was dismissed, and they asked about classes or training. I mentioned my Scrum certification from December 2015, and they pressed if it was recent. Before the second project, I left. HR later contacted me, stating positive feedback and apologizing that the interview 'didn't go as planned.' The interview atmosphere felt condescending and rude, like a gathering of egos.

I had a phone chat with the recruiter, and she let me know quickly that the hiring manager wanted to meet me. I drove out to Union to meet the hiring manager. The meeting was pretty casual and went well. I sent a thank you note but heard nothing back. I followed up with the recruiter a week later, still no response. I followed up again a week after that, and the recruiter said she hadn't gotten feedback from the hiring manager yet. It's been silent since then. I put a lot of time into preparing and getting to the interview, and I feel like I deserve some respect back. Being ghosted is unprofessional and probably says a lot about how the company operates.
